Certosa di Padula Excursion

At the selected time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in Ascea. From there, we'll travel by bus to the Certosa di Padula, one of the most impressive Baroque monumental complexes in southern Italy.

Upon arrival, you'll notice the size of this monastery, officially named Certosa di San Lorenzo, which is second only to the Grande Chartreuse of Grenoble in France.

After admiring the Baroque façade, we'll enter the religious complex to explore its various spaces. We will visit the church and chapels, the Capitolio room, the library featuring a Vietrese ceramic tiled floor, and the refectory, where the essence of the Carthusian monks is still present.

We will also see the Great Cloister of the Padula Charterhouse, covering 15,000 square meters, recognized as the largest cloister in the world.

At the end of the visit, we'll return to Ascea and take you back to your hotel, concluding this four-hour excursion.
