Excursion to Pompeii & Mount Vesuvius

Your adventure begins with a pickup at your hotel in Ascea at 7 am, where you will board a comfortable bus heading toward the renowned ancient site of Pompeii.

Within this historic archaeological park, you will uncover the fascinating past of one of the most frequented destinations globally, revealed to us since 1748 following the devastating eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.

Strolling through the preserved streets of Pompeii, we will encounter its most significant landmarks, such as the House of the Faun, a remarkable Roman villa from the 2nd century BC, the impressive Amphitheater, the vibrant Forum of Pompeii, and the iconic Temple of Apollo. Did you realize that you can still find the bronze statue of the Greek god mid-shot here?

Following our exploration of the archaeological site, there will be a pause for lunch (not included). After enjoying a meal at one of the local eateries, we will reconvene to proceed to our next destination, Mount Vesuvius.

We will make our ascent to a height of 1,000 meters above sea level via the trail in the Vesuvius National Park, leading us to the spectacular Gran Cono. Upon arriving at this magnificent crater, you will be rewarded with breathtaking views of the Bay of Naples and the surrounding cityscape. Don't forget to capture these moments with your camera!

Afterward, we will return down the path before boarding the bus back to Ascea. We anticipate returning to your hotels around 7:30 pm, after an enriching twelve-hour journey of discovery.
