At the time of your choice, we'll meet at Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe 5 to begin our food tour of Bergamo. We'll pass through the historic Porta Dipinta and enter the upper part of Lombard Town. Ready to discover the city's delicacies?

Accompanied by our guide, we'll explore the historic centre of Bergamo, discovering traditional country dishes and the latest culinary trends that combine strong and delicate flavours, history and modernity.

The tour will start with a traditional Bergamo aperitif with a glass of Valcalepio red wine, followed by fresh pasta, including foiade or casoncelli, a half-moon shaped filled pasta.

Next, we will taste a dish of polenta with lard and cheese, an ancient recipe featuring cornflour and taleggio cheese, a valued product of Lombard gastronomy.

To conclude, we'll visit an old ice cream parlour to enjoy coffee and taste stracciatella ice cream, a flavour invented here in the 1960s.
