Tour Description
At the indicated time, we'll meet at the City Circle stop at Kurfürstendamm 216 in Berlin. From there, we'll board a comfortable coach towards Potsdam, the capital of Brandenburg.
Potsdam is noted for its royal residences and gardens, which have earned UNESCO World Heritage status. Upon arrival, we'll visit the jewel of Potsdam: Sanssouci Palace, the former summer retreat of King Frederick the Great. Completed in 1747 in Rococo style, this palace is a significant architectural site.
We'll enjoy an audio-guided tour of the palace’s rooms, gardens, and surrounding buildings. The tour will cover the name's significance and the history of this royal residence.
After exploring the palace, our guide will lead us on a city tour with brief stops at highlights, including the Dutch Quarter, Glienicke Bridge, and the Russian colony of Alexandrovka. We'll also see the baroque City Palace, Old Market Square, and St Nicholas' Church.
Finally, we'll return to Berlin, concluding the tour at the starting point after a total of 4 hours.
