Exploration of Roman Carmona

Our journey begins at the entrance of the Roman necropolis of Carmona, where we will embark on a two-hour exploration focused on the Roman influences that shaped the city.

We will kick off the tour at one of the premier archaeological sites on the Iberian Peninsula: the Archaeological Site of Carmona. During our visit, we will examine two significant structures from the Roman era: the necropolis and the amphitheater.

Our first stop will be the necropolis, renowned as one of Spain's best-preserved funerary complexes. Here, we will discover the burial customs practiced by the Romans and admire the remarkable tombs hewn from rock.

Adjacent to the necropolis, along the historic Via Augusta, which linked Rome with the Iberian Peninsula, lies the grand Roman amphitheater. This site once hosted gladiatorial contests and various public spectacles.
