Velia Archaeological Park Excursion

After being picked up from your hotel in Palinuro, we will travel to the archaeological site of Velia, located in the Piana di Velia district in the town of Ascea Marina.

At the site, known as Velia in Roman times and Elea in Greek times, we will explore the remnants of this significant city, pivotal in ancient trade routes between Greece and Etruria. The visit will provide insight into the historical importance of the area.

During the tour, we will see the Porta Rosa, the only surviving example of a 4th century Greek arch, an important architectural feature of that era. Photo opportunities abound.

After six hours of exploration, we will return you to your hotel in Palinuro.
