Colonial Architecture Tour
At the scheduled time, we'll pick you up at your hotel in downtown Oaxaca and set off toward our first stop, the Ex-Convent of San Juan Bautista Coixtlahuaca.
Upon arrival, you'll see the intricate snake-shaped details that adorn the façade and interior of the temple. Next, we'll visit the Ex-Convent of San Pedro and San Pablo Teposcolula, a significant religious complex in one of Oaxaca's magical towns, including its open chapel, the largest in Latin America.
We'll then head to the town of San Pedro Yucunama, where we'll walk along cobblestone streets and admire the architecture while learning about the customs and traditions practiced by the villagers today.
Finally, we'll visit a local family of artisans from the Mixtec region, who will welcome us into their home for a demonstration of palm handicrafts. This offers a unique opportunity to witness their skills and artistry.
We'll return to Oaxaca and drop you off at your hotel after a total of about 9 hours.
