Asklepion, the world-famous excavator from the fourth century BC, is located above Kos Town. Chr. Hippocrates laid the cornerstone of modern medicine there and wrote the Hippocratic Oath that all medical practitioners worldwide still take today.

Other highlights of your eventful day are the mountain village of Zia, the village of Andimachia with the traditional windmill, and the untouched nature in Kefalos.

Stroll through the small streets of the mountain village of Zia. With its old houses, it lies sleepy on the slope of the imposing Dikeos mountain. The numerous spice stalls offer you a real smell experience and if you want, you can try the typical cinnamon water there.
