Enzo Ferrari Museum in Modena:
The Enzo Ferrari Museum is located in Modena, just 20 kilometers from Maranello. The futuristic building it has the shape of a huge yellow hood, but of such a bright yellow that it strikes the eyes for the contrast it creates with the environment in which it is located.
The Enzo Ferrari Birthplace Foundation - Museum was founded in 2003 with the aim of enhancing the motoring tradition of the Modena area and creating a museum complex in Modena dedicated to the figure of Enzo Ferrari, inaugurated on 10 March 2012. Inside there is a huge hall in which various temporary exhibitions are set up, a small cinema where two rotating films dedicated to the life and history of Enzo Ferrari are projected.
Among the most significant cars in the life of Ferrari, the story of the founder, as a driver and creator of the Scuderia in the 1930s and as a manufacturer since 1947. A story also told by a spectacular film that envelops the public and allows Enzo Ferrari to be placed in different eras, including drivers, car models and well-known personalities. This plunge into emotion is flanked, in the workshop of Enzo's father, now perfectly restored, by the Museum of Ferrari Motors. The area is divided into five sectors: that of low fractionation engines, from 1 to 6 cylinders, that of the classic 12 cylinders, that of 8, that of turbos, and, finally, that of Formula 1.
The path continues in the building in front of this huge pavilion, or in the workshop where Enzo's father worked, now perfectly restored. In addition, the Museum houses a shop that offers a wide range of official products and a bookstore that collects the most important Ferrari publications.
Ferrari Museum in Maranello:
Maranello is a small town in the province of Modena and has a very special peculiarity: it is the home of Ferrari, one of the most prestigious brands in the world. If you are passionate about engines, or simply want to discover this Italian excellence more closely, do not miss a day or a weekend in the Land of Reds. The Ferrari Museum is an exciting exhibition of the past, present and future of the Prancing Horse, divided into two parts: one permanent and the other used for temporary exhibitions. Very interesting and evocative is the Hall of Victories, in which the Ferrari World Champions from 1999 to today are exhibited.
Luciano Pavarotti's House in Modena:
Welcome to the place Pavarotti called home. He built this house to entertain friends, teach young singers and enjoy family life. Discover his private collection of memorabilia, costumes and awards gathered throughout his long career. Join us as we celebrate the artistic and philanthropic legacy of the “man who moved millions.”
The Luciano Pavarotti Home Museum is the home that Maestro Pavarotti built in the Modena countryside, in a large estate, where he lived the last years of his life.
It opened to the public in 2015 to firmly ground Maestro’s memory to his beloved homeland and to make the man Luciano behind the great artist Pavarotti better known to the general public. Today, the house is still as Maestro left it and it can be entirely visited. It keeps all the objects he loved to be surrounded with and it displays the memories of the days spent with family, friends and students to whom he gave singing lessons.
Every inch of this home reflects its owner’s vibrant personality. Warm light fills the space, a huge window looking at the sky illuminates the rooms – where you can find photos, paintings and letters from dear friends like Frank Sinatra, Bono and Princess Diana – while the kitchen is yellow like the sun. Opera costumes, one-of-a-kind memorabilia and countless awards pay homage to his illustrious career – but it’s the everyday objects that reveal the simple man behind the great artist.
