Sormiou Calanque Hiking Activity
Our hiking route begins at the Chemin de Morgiou car park, leading to the Sormiou creek in the Calanques National Park. This is a 3-mile (5-kilometre) hike through a scrub forest toward the Sormiou Ridge, offering views of the massif, the Mediterranean Sea, and Marseille.
We will descend to Sormiou cove, explore its small fishing village, and its beach. There is an opportunity to swim in the turquoise water. Afterward, the return journey will take a different path through the nature, history, and culture of the Calanques National Park, a significant protected area in south-eastern France.
The hike will conclude approximately three and a half hours after departure at the starting point.
