We will collect you from your accommodation in Kalambaka or Kastraki at the designated time to embark on an exhilarating tour of Meteora.

As we settle into our transport, our knowledgeable local guide will provide captivating stories about the heritage of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. We will gradually ascend the impressive rock formations while uncovering tales of the early hermits and monks who established the monastic community at Meteora.

Along the journey, we will stop at all six monasteries. The audio guide will share details on the geological history of these remarkable rocks, formed eons ago. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to enter three of the monasteries for a more profound appreciation of the monastic life and stunning views of the surrounding town.

After an enriching 4-hour exploration of the Monasteries of Meteora, we will conclude the tour by returning you to your accommodation.

Sunset Half-Day Excursion

This tour variant elevates your experience in Meteora as we delve into the UNESCO World Heritage Site during the enchanting sunset hours. Accompanied by a local guide and an informative audio guide, we will immerse ourselves in the region's traditions, legends, and historical narratives.

We’ll begin by visiting either the Agios Stefanos or Saint Nicholas monasteries. Following that, we’ll proceed to the Byzantine Church of the Virgin Mary in Kalabaka, renowned for its stunning architecture adorned with intricate frescoes and decorative features.

Subsequently, we will journey to the Hermetic Caves of Badova to gain insights into the lifestyle and practices of early Christian hermits. You will learn about their existence in these caves during our visit.

Finally, the tour will culminate with a breathtaking stop on a cliff's edge where you can experience a stunning sunset over Meteora. Be ready to capture unforgettable photographs of this magical moment!
