Half-Day Trip

You will be picked up from your hotel in Kalambaka or Kastraki at the specified time for a tour of Meteora.

A local tour assistant will provide insights into the history of this UNESCO World Heritage Site as we ascend the rock formations, learning about the first hermits and monks who established the monastic community. The tour includes visits to all 6 monasteries, and you will have the opportunity to enter three monasteries for an understanding of the community and views of the town below. The activity lasts 4 hours before returning to your hotel.

Half-Day Trip at Sunset

This option enhances your visit to Meteora as we explore the site at sunset. A local tour assistant and an audio guide will discuss Meteora's traditions, myths, and history.

We will first visit either the Agios Stefanos or Saint Nicholas monasteries, then proceed to the Byzantine Church of the Virgin Mary in Kalabaka to appreciate its architecture. The tour includes the Hermetic Caves of Badova, focusing on the life of early Christian hermits. The tour concludes with a spectacular sunset view over Meteora. After 4 hours, you will return to your hotel.
