Certosa di Padula Tour

After meeting at your selected point, we'll depart for Padula, home to the Certosa di San Lorenzo, a monastery designated as a World Heritage Site in 1998. The visit will be guided by an expert.

Upon arrival at the religious complex, known as the Padula Charterhouse, we will first observe its Baroque façade, the main architectural style, despite construction starting in the 14th century.

We will then enter the monastic complex, which includes up to 350 rooms. A key feature is the Great Cloister, dating from the late 18th century, which spans 15,000 square meters.

During the guided tour of the Carthusian Monastery of Padula, we will explore the chapels, the church with its 16th and 18th-century frescoes, and workspaces like the laundries, cellars, and kitchen. This experience provides insight into the lifestyle of the Carthusian monks.

After four hours of exploration, we'll return to Pisciotta to take you back to your hotel or the meeting point.
