Your journey begins with pickup from your hotel in Pisciotta or from a designated meeting location. From this point, we will make our way to the archaeological site of Velia, situated in the area of Ascea Marina. Are you ready to uncover one of the treasures of the Cilento and Vallo di Diano National Park?

Upon reaching our destination, we will explore the vestiges of this ancient settlement, referred to as Velia by the Romans and Elea by the Greeks. We will stroll through the agora of Velia, a prominent area which likely attracted philosophers from the Eleatic school, including notable figures like Parmenides, Zeno, and Melissus.

Our visit will also include the acropolis of Elea and the Tower of Velia, an Angevin structure dating back to the Middle Ages. A fascinating detail: this site hosts theatrical performances during the summer season!

Additionally, we will visit the renowned Porta Rosa (translated as "Pink Door"), recognized as the only surviving 4th century Greek arch and a true architectural masterpiece of its era.

After an enriching six-hour excursion, we will return you to your hotel in Pisciotta.
